Pak inducts indigenous missile warship into navyPakistan has inducted its second home-made missile warship into the navy, the state-run television has reported. Shujaat-II was built with the assistance of China at the Karachi Shipyard and Engineering Works, the report said. ''The launching of the missile craft has taken our strategic national industry into the domain of construction of warships,'' KSEW Managing Director, Rear Admiral Javed Iftikhar, said at the launching ceremony in Karachi. Pakistan on Tuesday displayed its indigenous medium range ballistic missiles to the public for the first time at a military parade in Islamabad. Besides the 1,500-kilometre-range Ghauri and the 600-kilometre-range Shaheen, the earlier Hatf series of shorter-range missiles were also on display at the Pakistan Day parade watched by President Muhammad Rafiq Tarar and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharief. Shaheen can be made ready for firing in 30 minutes and Ghauri in four hours. Sharief later told the media that the public display of ballistic missiles ''has proved that our defence is invincible and we can give matching response to any adventure''. UNI
