Militants abduct 10 in Tripura

Outlawed tribal militants abducted at least 10 people including three students in separate incidents since yesterday in Tripura.

The police said in Agartala today that the militants kidnapped five people at Damchara in north Tripura while four people, including three school students, were taken away at gunpoint from Kalyanpur in west Tripura when they went to a jungle to collect firewood.

A boy was kidnapped at Baikhora in south Tripura.

The police recovered a body from the Bagma area in south Tripura yesterday.
