Action against more UP BJP leaders likelyBharatiya Janata Party senior vice president Krishan Lal Sharma today said party high command would review and discuss former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Kalyan Singh's demand to drop other leaders responsible for the party's poor showing in the Lok Sabha elections. Talking to newspersons in Chandigarh today, he said the party high command took the decision to change the chief minister in Uttar Pradesh only after Kalyan Singh owned moral responsibility for the party's poor performance in the state and offered to quit. Sharma said that there were no differences between his party and the Indian National Lok Dal in Haryana. He justified holding of a separate meeting by the Haryana BJP legislature party on the eve of winter session of the state assembly saying that his party was not part of the Chautala government. He said the BJP high command had not taken any decision so far on joining the Chautala ministry. However, he said the issue was still under consideration. Sharma said the BJP was supporting the Chautala government from outside and it would vote against the no-confidence motion which the Congress was planning to bring against the government in the winter session. He said the party organisational elections would be held between January and May next year, as per the schedule. Replying to another question Sharma said new governors would be appointed immediately after the return of prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee from abroad. UNI
