Cartridges stolen from Tripura police camp

About 75 rounds of cartridges of 3.3 rifle were stolen recently from a district reserved armed police camp at Sonamura in Tripura, a delayed report received Agartala today said.

The theft was detected in Batola on September 19 when the jawans of the camp returned after night patrolling. Two ammunition-loaded trunks kept in the camp were missing and one of the windows found broken into, the report said. Both the trunks were later found lying empty half a km away from the spot. Investigations were on and no arrests have been made so far, sources added.
