Delhi police to take Afzal to Kashmir

Delhi police are taking Mohammed Afzal, the main pointman of Jaish-e-Mohammed in Delhi who was arrested in connection with Parliament attack, to Kashmir to help track down top leaders of the outfit.

Afzal, who had disclosed during interrogation that JeM commander Ghazi Baba is based in Pahalgam in South Kashmir, is expected to lead a Delhi police team to militant hideouts there, police sources said on Saturday.

Ghazi Baba is said to be the mastermind behind the December 13 attack on Parliament.

Delhi police expect Afzal to show them the places where training camps are being run by terrorists.

The sources said Afzal is also expected to help police in tracking down Tariq, a close aide of Ghazi Baba, who arranged all arms and ammunition used in Parliament attack.
