The state government, in a notification on Friday, converted the Kanke-based Bacon factory guest house into a jail.
However, Director General of Police T P Sinha said the treatment meted out to Yadav, after he surrenders in connection with case no RC 47 (a) of the multi-crore fodder scam, would be as per the directive of the court.
He said elaborate security cover will be provided to the former Bihar chief minister, who enjoys Z-plus security provided to him by the Union government.
Asked whether the government would allow the entry to the huge cavalcade following Laloo to Ranchi, Sinha said the government had already advised the RJD chief not to allow vehicles and his supporters to follow him during his journey to Jharkhand.
He said this piece of advice was to 'ensure proper security to Yadav himself and the VIPs accompanying him'.
Another former Bihar chief minister Jagannath Mishra too is expected to surrender before the court along with Laloo Yadav.
Arrangements had being made to prevent any traffic disruptions across the city when Laloo Yadav makes his way to the CBI special court, Sinha said.
