Eight labourers abducted in Tripura

Insurgents suspected to be from the National Liberation Front of Tripura have abducted eight labourers from a railway construction site in Tripura's Dhalai district, police said on Tuesday.

The ultras raided Jarulcherra area of the district on Monday night and abducted the men who were engaged by a private construction company, the police said.

A combing operation was launched to rescue the labourers and nab the culprits, the police added.
