The Bharatiya Janata Party on Sunday criticised the Congress party for opposing the Prevention of Terrorism Ordinance and accused it of committing major 'blunders', while dealing with the Kashmir issue in 1947 and after.
"Congress has been opposing the POTO bill without any conviction and logic. Either they have links with terrorist or they don't want to bring peace in the country," senior BJP leader and in-charge of election affairs in Uttaranchal, Om Prakash Mathur, said.
Pointing out 'blunders' allegedly committed by Congress on Kashmir issue, Mathur said taking the Kashmir issue to the United Nations and imposition of article 370 on Jammu and Kashmir were 'big blunders' committed by Congress party.
The Congress leaders had allegedly failed in forcing the withdrawal of Pakistani raiders from the whole of J&K in 1947, and that was another serious mistake by them, he said.
The Congress also missed the opportunity of resolving Kashmir issue under the Simla Agreement in 1972, Mathur alleged.
