Indian diplomats and their families leave Pak by special plane

Fifty-four members of the Indian High Commission, who were recalled by New Delhi to protest Pakistan's inaction against the terrorist groups involved in the attack on the Parliament, left Islamabad on Saturday along with their families by a special Indian Airlines flight.

The diplomats and their families - totalling 120 - were seen off at Islamabad airport by Deputy High Commissioner Sudhir Vyas.

Among those on board included Malini Nambiar, wife of Indian High Commissioner to Islamabad Vijay Nambiar who was also recalled.

Pakistan, however, has not recalled its high commissioner from New Delhi.

Meanwhile, a special Pakistan International Airlines plane went to New Delhi on Saturday to bring back 55 members and their families of the Pakistan high commission in India.

With this both the countries reduced their staff strengths by half.
