Responding to a memorandum submitted by a 21-member PMK delegation led by its state unit president G K Mani, Chief Minister S M Krishna said the storage level in the reservoir, at present, stood at 73 ft, which was insufficient to meet the water requirements of farmers in Mysore and Mandya districts, official sources said in Bangalore.
Krishna also explained to the delegation in detail the distress situation faced by the state.
Apparently referring to the Tamil Nadu government's stand of boycotting the Cauvery River Authority, Krishna told the delegation, "It is good if both the states abide by the authority's decisions."
Krishna declined to react to the Tamil Nadu government's decision to approach the Supreme Court in this regard.
