Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on Thursday rejected the opposition demand for a Joint Parliamentary Committee to probe the bribery allegations against former Union minister Dilip Singh Judeo, saying the CBI would go into all aspects of the episode.
"There is no need for a JPC and nothing will come out of it," Vajpayee told the Lok Sabha while replying to a two-day debate on the Judeo episode.
Attacking the opposition for attempting to denigrate the CBI, he said even a JPC would have to look into all aspects and seek facts and information from the CBI, which is already holding a preliminary enquiry into bribery allegations.
