Sankararaman murder: Another key accused held

December 27, 2004 19:31 IST

The Tamil Nadu police have arrested a building contractor in connection with the Sankararaman murder case.

The police had been on the lookout for Ravi Subramaniam, an accused in the case, for the last few weeks. They presented him before the first class judicial magistrate in Kancheepuram and sought his remand. No more details were available.

Kanchi seer Jayendra Saraswati has been cited as the prime accused in the case. He was arrested on November 11 and has been lodged in the Vellore prison.
