The siege of a mosque in village Danispora near Beerwa in central Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir, where three heavily-armed militants were holed up, has ended.

All three militants have been killed. The mosque, senior security officials said, has suffered some damage in the crossfire between the militants and army troops.

Army troops had surrounded the mosque after the militants hid in there to escape a search operation in the village.
