Salman, Satish Shah appear before Jodhpur court

Bollywood actors Salman Khan [Images] and Satish Shah, accused in the 1998 black buck poaching case, on Saturday appeared before a court in Jodhpur and denied their involvement in the killing of protected wild animals.

Khan and Shah appeared before Chief Judicial Magistrate Brijendra Kumar Jain and told the court they had not killed any protected animals on the night of September 26 and 27, 1998.

The CJM fixed July 16 for the final hearing.

A case against Khan, Shah and eight others was registered at the Mathania police station on a complaint by Bishnoi community accusing them of killing two black bucks during their visit to Jodhpur for shooting a film.

The court fixed June 7 as the next date of  hearing in another case of poaching of black bucks on September 28 and 29,  1998, in which both Khan and Shah are accused.

The second case against the Bollywood actors was filed in Bhawad police outpost.
