The Border Security Force on Sunday arrested a Pakistani national suspected to be involved in the New Delhi blasts and other subversive activities in India.
They said Ali Mohammad alias Abu Ali Haider, was arrested from Balurhat in South Dinajpur district soon after he allegedly sneaked in from Bangladesh, BSF sources said.
About Haider's links with Lashkar-e-Taiba and the October blast in Delhi, the sources said interrogation was on to ascertain this.
The man would be handed over to the West Bengal police at Balurghat after the interrogation, the sources said.
He was suspected to have stayed for some time in Delhi early in 2005.
He was on his way to Kashmir to meet his contact man for a new assignment, a source said.
Intelligence agencies were hopeful of getting some clues to a number of important operations he was allegedly involved in.
