The Supreme Court on Monday issued a notice to Swedish gunmaker A B Bofors, on a petition challenging a Delhi High Court order discharging the accused in the Rs 64-crore Bofors scam case.
The notice was issued by a bench comprising Chief Justice R C Lahoti, Justice J P Mathur and Justice P K Balasubramanyan on a special leave petition by one Raj Kumar Pande.
This was the second petition filed in the apex court against the High Court order, which was not challenged by the Central Bureau of Investigations.
The court has already admitted a petition by advocate Ajay Kumar Aggarwal on which a notice was issued to the Hinduja brothers, who are also accused in the case.
