The Central Bureau of Investigation Monday said it has found bio-material packed in more than 40 polythene bags recovered from the drain in front of the house of one of the main accused in the Nithari serial killings Moninder Singh Pandher.

In its first official note, the CBI said that after registration of all the 19 cases relating to the kidnapping, rape and murder of children and women, a 30-member CBI team has been constituted to investigate the case.

The team was being assisted by forensic experts drawn from various forensic laboratories all over the country and had minutely inspected the area and collected a large number of fragments of bones and other bio-material, the CBI note said.

"Bio-materials packed in more than 40 polythene bags have been recovered from the drain in front of the house of the accused persons. In addition, pieces of human bones have been recovered," the CBI said.

The seized materials have been sent to laboratory for post mortem, individualisation and DNA extraction and the process was continuing, it said.

The CBI proposes to individualise the skeletal remains and link them to the relatives of missing persons through various advanced forensic techniques, it said.

The material received from the Uttar Pradesh Police has also been sent for forensic examination to the laboratory, it said.

The relatives of the victims and other connected witnesses were being examined to establish the sequence of events, the CBI said. It said the two accused Pandher and his servant Surendra Koli, who were on 14 days CBI remand till January 25, were being subjected to custodial interrogation.

Meanwhile, sources in the CBI investigation team said that two more bones and some clothes of children had been recovered in the drain 100 metres away from the Pandher's house.

Searches were also carried out at the godown of Pandher in Sector-II Noida as a part of investigations, the sources said. Some liquor bottles, a double-barrel gun, cartridges, mobile phones, photographs, photo albums and a blood stained grill -- which had been seized by the Noida police, had also been handed over to the CBI on Monday for thorough examination, the sources said.

The agency sleuths also dug inside Pandher's house to ascertain whether Koli had buried some children inside the house itself, the sources said.
