The new alliance of Left parties, the United National Progressive Alliance and other parties including the Bahujan Samaj Party, on Wednesday decided to launch a nation-wide campaign against the Indo-US nuclear deal, price rise and crisis in the agricultural sector.
Addressing the media after their meeting on Tuesday, Communist Party of India-Marxist general secretary Prakash Karat, BSP chief Mayawati and the Telugu Desam Party's Chandrababu Naidu [Images] described the government's victory in Tuesday's trust vote as "immoral" and said their campaign will also be against the "misuse" of institutions like the Central Bureau of Investigation.
Karat said the Manmohan Singh [Images] government has lost all moral authority to remain in power because of the manner in which its victory was secured in Parliament on Tuesday.
