Tuesday seems to be the favourite day for terrorists to carry out major blasts and strikes in historical towns of the country.
After Ayodhya and Varanasi, it was the turn of Jaipur to face a terrorist attack in the form of serial blasts -- yet again -- on a Tuesday.
Incidentally, the explosions and terror strikes took place near temples in all the three towns.
The temple in Jaipur was flooded with devotees as Tuesday is considered as the day of Lord Hanuman [Images].
While Lashkar-e-Tayiba terrorists had carried out a fidayeen attack at Ram Lalla temple at the disputed site in Ayodhya on July 5, 2005, a series of blasts had rocked the historical Sankat Mochan Hanuman temple in Varanasi on March 7, 2006.
The idea, experts said, was to target religious places on religiously important days when the number of devotees or people is higher than other days.
