The Rajasthan unit of the right-wing outfit Sri Ram Sena on Friday stuck to its stand, insisting it will not allow couples to create 'obscene scenes' at public places on Valentine's Day on Friday, even as another organisation said it will not let anyone disturb couples celebrating the day.
Thirty-five groups would roam around the city's 'hot spots' and check any illegal or suspicious acts of couples, Sena's Jaipur [Images] Pramukh Kishore Singh told reporters.
"We will offer them either a rakhi or mangal-sutra and end the V-day obscenity at public places," he said, adding that the district units will follow suit.
Terming it Sena's interference in public life, Sri Rajput Yuva [Images] Sangathan president Vishnu [Images] Pratap Singh Rathore said twenty groups of his brigade would also roam in the city to control the misconduct of Sena activists.
As a preventive measure, the state government has directed district police superintendents to step up vigil and ensure peace and harmony in their respective areas.
