Minister quits UDF govtMeghalaya's co-operation minister S S Lyngdoh resigned from the Congress-led United Democratic Front ministry this afternoon. Lyngdoh said he had requested Chief Minister Salseng C Marak to accept his resignation with immediate effect. The minister, however, gave no reason for his action. Lyngdoh belongs to a newly-formed regional outfit, the United Democratic Party. Previously, he belonged to the People's Demands Implementation Convention. |
