Andre Agassi headlines day four of the U.S. Open on Thursday as he seeks a place in the third round at his home Grand Slam.
The 34-year-old opened his 19th U.S. Open campaign with an impressive victory over Robby Ginepri and is fully expected to see off Germany's Florian Meyer in the final afternoon match on the Arthur Ashe Court.
Third seed Carlos Moya will face his second American wildcard when he takes on Amer Delic, while French Open champion Argentina's Gaston Gaudio opens play on Louis Armstrong Court against Sweden's Thomas Johansson.
Other men's seeds in action include Britain's Tim Henman, who hopes to have shaken off a back injury to face Frenchman Jerome Golmard, Thai Paradorn Srichaphan and American duo Mardy Fish and Taylor Dent.
In women's second round play, top seed and defending champion Justine Henin-Hardenne plays Israel's Tzipora Obziler after Lindsay Davenport begins proceedings on Arthur Ashe against Spain's Arantxa Parra Santonja.
After a gruelling opening round victory over Laura Granville on Tuesday, 17-year-old Wimbledon champion Maria Sharapova is back under the spotlight against Serbian Jelena Jankovic.
