Australia's opening batsman Adam Gilchrist is caught by Sri Lanka wicketkeeper Kumar Sangakkara off the bowling of Aravinda de Silva during the first semi-final in the World Cup at St George's Park, Port Elizabeth, South Africa, on Tuesday.
Sri Lanka's left-arm bowler and the World Cup's leading wicket-taker Chaminda Vaas celebrates after dismissing Australia captain Ricky Ponting for just two runs. Ponting was caught by Jayasuriya.
Jayasuriya is delighted after taking a brilliant catch to send back Ponting.
Matthew Hayden also found the going tough and was dismissed by Vaas, caught by Tillakaratne for 20 runs.
